U.S. Department of Interior Affirms Cayuga Nation’s Authority to Enforce Laws Within Its Reservation

In response to request for guidance from the Seneca Falls Police Department, a letter from the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) says the Cayuga Nation has the sovereign authority to enforce its own laws within the boundaries of its reservation.
